For any #Canadians interested. There is a current petition to remove the current U.S. Ambassador on grounds of disrespect to Canada's independence.

This is the asshole that has been promoting 51st state as an American Ambassador within Canada.

"Waterfall Light" for #TextureTuesday

This rainbow formed in the spray of Upper Rainbow Falls of the San Joaquin River, at Devil's Postpile National Monument near Mammoth Lakes in California's Eastern Sierra. I loved the combination of all the textures and colors and the somewhat abstract quality that the combination of it all took on.

Waterfall, rock, and a little bit of rainbow.

What caught my eye here was the power of the water against all that dark volcanic rock. The waterfall feels loud and alive, but the rainbow near the base adds this quiet little surprise.

Here's a bonus image, one that I seriously considered converting to #monochrome to be part of the same series. I decided in the end that the primary colours spread so perfectly between our tents makes this image much stronger.

Ocean In The Sky (2024)
Named for the wave like cloud inversion below, I took this image early morning, shortly after golden hour and before the heat of the day burned off the clouds below.

I was motivated to capture a 1:1 ratio image of this location as part of a photographic challenge I set for myself in the region.
