The political violence hurled towards Green Party politicians in the UK is an example of how normal people are pushed out of politics so only sociopaths and the Corrupt remain.

Mothin Ali and Hannah Spencer have both had to resort to police protection (for what good that will do) simply for representing us in Politics. This is not normal, despite how the Press reports it.

Ali attended an anti-war demonstration that was mischaracterised by organisations such as GB News as a rally in support of the Iranian regime.

Starmer said in the Commons on Monday: “I think we were all shocked by the actions of the deputy leader of the Green party – although perhaps not surprised, given that party’s recent turn of direction.”

The Green Party’s co-deputy leader, Mothin Ali, has told Middle East Eye he fears for his life and has faced death threats after Conservative MP Alec Shelbrooke made a false claim about him in parliament which Keir Starmer appeared to agree with.

They will get me killed. Over the last couple of days I’ve received about 20 death threats. He can say what he wants in there and get away with it. I want to see how brave he is. Will he repeat this outside parliament?

The #Green party has selected the former mayoral candidate Hannah Spencer to run in the upcoming Gorton and Denton byelection.

Spencer, a Trafford councillor and plumber by trade, has resided in the constituency in the past and was the Green candidate for mayor of Manchester during the 2024 election, where she finished fifth behind Labour’s Andy Burnham, who retained the post, as well as Conservative, independent and Reform candidates.
