The closest parallel would be #davidlloydgeorge who was still very much around in the early 1940s. He remained an appeaser well after others - including even #nevillechamberlain - had ceased to be. Fortunately his former colleagues and dependents - most notably #winstonchurchill - chose to ignore him.
