@dos I can testify to this. Camera with #Millipixels and GPS turn-by-turn navigation with #Puremaps are both significantly improved. In fact, I just drove to a new suburb for the frst time without needing my degoogled Android. Previously I was using #postmarketOS on this #Librem5. Thanks.
Got out for a nice hike yesterday and took some nice pictures. #Shotonlibrem5 #librem5 #postmarketos #millipixels

@dos

What a huge improvement! Could you post a full image at it's original, full resolution? I'd love to see what just a default jpg comes out looking like at it's full resolution.

#Millipixels #Librem5

I'm always pleased if a bunch of updates arrive to my #Librem5. Today some arrived. Currently, I'm running the alpha #Crimson release of #PureOS.

@Sxan Correction: As @dos pointed out, the Librem 5 camera app #millipixels does record sound in videos - i just retested now on #postmarketOS and on #PureOS Crimson. I think when I tested previously on them, my mic volume must have been low or muted.

So not sure why camera support on L5 is marked as partially working in pmOS devices wiki... Perhaps because apps that don't support libcamera can't detect it? I know Signal I need to plug in external webcam, but other apps including Firefox with Jitsi do detect the camera...

#postmarketOS just landed the last MR needed to make the #libcamera + #PipeWire camera stack work on the #Librem5 and #PinePhone by default, using the new software ISP shipped in libcamera 0.3.
So if you have such a device: just update and go install apps like Snapshot, Warp, Decoder etc. You can even use it with Firefox and - very soon - Chromium.

Note that this does *not* replace #megapixels or #millipixels - those continue to be the default camera apps.

Unearthed my #librem5 running #postmarketos once again to see if there are any funky updates (there were none, it's running edge already  )
To compensate, decided to play around with #millipixels which went a m a z i n g: all but 3 of a few dozen raw DNG files it made turned out unreadable by anything but #imagemagick , and even it only managed to get some BW out of them, even though the 3 readable ones were in colour, as expected O_o
Yay, #opensource #lomography .
I'm not even mad.

@dos

The same applies for videos too (which are even lower res).

I found this out when I recorded videos of > 10 min and #millipixels crashed when I ran out of disk space.

Turned out (I never really looked into this previously) that it will just dump all the DNGs to /tmp/ and this will get cleaned up after encoding into a movie is done.

Having it crashed allowed me to rsync the files to my laptop where it is waiting for me to produce what I hope to be high quality video!

Comme y a peu d'améliorations de #Phosh et de #Millipixels en ce moment voilà un petit tutoriel pour installer #Waydroid sur le #librem5

Ca peut aider à avoir plus d'applications via APK
