Per @dos decided to give my #mobilelinux #fitness app a test on the #Librem5 and it wasnt bad! Flatpaked my app and tested with the lastest Crimson build. Had some small performance issues within the settings section and my music cut out a bit while it was scanning for my Bike Trainer and my HR Strap but after that it was smooth sailing.
Wanted to grab a battery life comparison so only did 30 mins with only gapless for audio and my fitness app. 12%/30mins so 24%/hour estimated.

Welp. It's been a fun one Android. Once my phone breaks, I'm done having a phone, until I get a job that pays well so I can buy myself a Linux phone.
I know dumb phones still exist and I don't mind typing with the keypads but I'd rather have no phone than have a dumb phone
When that time comes that my last phone breaks, I will probably be the only Gen Z in the whole world who has no phone.
It's funny how this phone keeps feeling faster as it gets older.
Looks like GTK is starting to get its renderer inefficiencies sorted out, as updating Flatpak runtimes has made Tuba smoother than ever π #librem5
I've also been using the #openmoko and I'm now also using the #Librem5 as my daily phone.
I'm strongly against the forced use of apps that are only running on #bigtech operating systems like iOS and Android (#appdwang), especially if I'm forced by government or banks.
The Librem 5 might be less convenient than Apple or Google phones, but I'm enjoying my #freedom as a user every day. Also I really like the pure #Linux on the phone.
#FOSS enables #DigitalSovereignty.
The Crimson beta version of #PureOS has been released. PureOS is the #Linux operating system that runs on the @purism devices, like the #Librem5 Linux #phone.
Thanks to all who contributed to this, whether as developer, issue reporter, subscriber or otherwise.
"For that purpose, we created PureOS Upgrade. This application walks you through the upgrade process, and in a few clicks or taps, you will have #Crimson!"

I am testing usage on #librem5. Have to say, it is still a bit difficult. It is kinda slow, difficult to type and battery usage is quite high.
gonna be interesting if I daily drive this
@archivescribe @DaveMasonDotMe There's the #FLX1s from @furilabs
Also, upcoming projects from @mechasystems, @dawndrums and @Liberux
Of course, there's the #LibertyPhone / #Librem5 from @purism for true #gnuLinux... which I heard is receiving a new modem upgrade this year. That's what I'm currently daily driving with #postmarketOS.
