Yes, indeed, I use #PureOS, so basically pure #Linux. For me it is a fundamental principle that I do not want to make use of technology that is only available from software repositories from unethical companies like Apple and Google.

If I could do all via the browser that would be totally acceptable for me.

I am with #ASNBank, I go on a regular basis to their "ASN-winkel" to do certain bank transfers that cannot be done via internet.

@janvlug and myself don't run Android, but #mobileLinux, i.e. #pureOS and #mobian resp., which is similar to Linux on a PC, and not compatible with Android.

If banks in DE would start to require Android or iOS, I would probably try to get the cheapest, used Android phone on the fleemarket and use it only for that purpose. But so far, it's not necessary.

@BuyFromEU I think that the operating system of a phone is more important then where the phone hardware has been manufactured.

Therefore I went for a phone that runs #mobilelinux, independent from #bigtech that is often under US #jurisdiction.

Free and #opensource software gives real freedom to the user.

#PureOS is for example an @fsf endorsed GNU/Linux distribution.

I tested my #Librem 5 running #Crimson #PureOS the last days with #PureMaps turn by turn navigation in the car.

Note that due to a bug (for which a fix is in the pipeline) I had to enable manually gnss-share first:

sudo systemctl status gnss-share.service

After that PureMaps worked flawlessly for navigation up to speeds of 130 km/h.

Unfortunately, the voice instruction volume is a little to low for me though.
