The Rainbow Bridge finally opened this morning.
The bridge provides a connection between Moonee Ponds Creek and North Melbourne along Dynon Rd.
It wasn't just disrespect, it was racism. Let this day not just be a reflection of those who served, but a day to have a conversation about racism.

Every few months there is an article in the ABC about some missing infrastructure in the 'growth areas'. They never seem to address that we've knowingly grown populations in areas without infrastructure instead of growing populations in areas where there is already infrastructure.
We're building houses in the middle of nowhere and only later being surprised that these houses also need schools, trains, libraries, shops, cafes , roads and jobs.
We should be growing the areas that already have infrastructure
One year ago today, a Comeng set crosses the tram square at Glen Huntly Road on Melbourne's Frankston line.
One week ago this line reopened after almost a two month shutdown to remove this level crossing, and the nearby Neerim Road. The rail line now runs below Glen Huntly Road. The small signal box (to the left of the picture) has been abolished and dismantled.
