I know I should have gone back country skiing, there is still plenty of snow. I didn't feel like getting up early so I went #cycling instead. At work we have this map of Swiss mountain passes that are fully paved and therefore viable for a road bike. Everyone (of the few who cycle mountain passes, that is) has their own sticker color and every time we ride a pass we get to put sticker next to its name. Today I collected some stickers in my backyard: Etzel, Sattelegg and Ibergeregg, on the picture below...

Balkonien, 09:25 Uhr, 14°C vor Bienenhausen, böiger Wind, trocken. Ein paar Rabenkrähen spielen mit den Windböen, einzelne Taubenpärchen jagen vorbei. Hier am Stadtrand kommen die Felsentauben nur in Kleingruppen und im Frühjahr meistens nur paarweise vor.
Neera ist es zu windig und auch Kater Peter ist wieder rein. Er hat sein Verdauungsgras gefressen und getrunken, jetzt liegt er wohl wieder auf meinem Bett und hält sein Morgennickerchen.
Now: Flandern-Rundfahrt!

There should be more posts on the fediverse about both #bicycles and #gridcore. So here we go....

We went to Biel to see World Peace, a US #powerviolence band playing pv on basses and drum, no regular guitars. It definitely one of those bands where the live experience is what you want to see, it's hard to capture this power on a recording. Sadly their set was way to short. Luckily Exorbitant Prices Must Diminish made up for this by playing a extensive set of their fast #grindcore - mainly by not agreeing which was the last song. I haven't seen a band playing that many last songs ever. 😋

The next day we cycled towards home on my two Bromptons. I then realised that one of the advantages of the telescopic seat post is that you can switch saddles and therefor bikes easily. After 100km we called it a day in Wohlhausen and took the train home.

#Bremerton, Wa. What I don't see is #bicycles anywhere. No #shoppers. No #kids. No #families. Maybe the very occasional Lycra and carbon fiber frame.

What I do see are #streets choked with #cars, #pickups, and SUV's. Vast expanses of #parking. Almost no painted #bike lanes anywhere. Never mind protected bike lanes.

#Bremerton, Wa. A city fully consumed by cars, pickups, and SUV's.
