Presentation: “California Employment Law Updates for Non-California Attorneys” by Alyson Claire Decker, CEO, Alyson Claire Law, Prof. Corp.
am I the only one who missed that the #CaliforniaBar updated its #MCLE requirements?!
starting with the group reporting in February 2025, you'll now be required to include:
- 1 hr on Technology in the Practice of Law;
- 1 hr on Civility in the Legal Profession (woof is this needed); and
- 2 hrs of Competence, broken up into at least 1 hr of Prevention and Detection (of substance abuse and other disabiling conditions) and 1 optional hr of Wellness Competence.

CEB just came out with a great little directory where you can look up subject matter experts and then see all the different MCLEs and other contributions they have made to CEB’s extensive legal practice resources.
Excluding my work on the "California Trial Practice: Civil Procedure During Trial" practice guide you can check out all 7 of my MCLE programs and one of my secondary sources here: https://contributors.ceb.com/contributor/alyson-decker-esq

So, remember, if you ever need a mediator, I do mediations through Alternative Resolution Centers (ARC), the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation).
