We Need to Talk About Long COVID: A Sufferer on the Silence Around the Public Health Crisis - WHN

Original article written for Byline Times Cat Fraser, who has lived with the chronic illness for years, says it’s time to get Long Covid on the agendaand give its many victims the support they need. I almost went had first into the kitchen counter a little while ago. I got up from bed, closed the window blinds, and headed to the kitchen about 15 feet away. As I rounded the corner I suddenly felt my head get lighter and my legs started acting like I had just left a bar at 2am on a Saturday when I was in college. 🥴😵‍💫😧🙀🤦🏻‍♂️
It was all I could do just to hold myself up leaning on the counter and yelp for my caretaker to help me. It wasn’t much better holding onto her and trying to wobble back to bed. SHEESH

I am still figuring out Substack and my writing is a little rusty. I edited a post and as soon as I get my workspace set up I hope to write more, post more art and garden pictures, and expand the topics beyond long covid so that it's a little less doomy and a lot more therapeutic. I have also opened comments to everyone. #writing #blog #longcovidsupport #longcovid #thingstodo

Een jaar Long COVID

Hallo netwerk! “Hoe gaat het met je?” Simpele vraag die ik zelf meestal snel beantwoord als ik deze krijg: “Goed, en met jou?” En dan denk ik: fijn dat je het vraagt! Precies een jaar geleden, zondag 13 maart 2022, een dag die ik niet snel zal vergeten. Ik testte positief op COVID.

Saw my GP again. We're going to do further bloodwork and other testing again this week. My situation keeps getting worse. This shit sucks so much.
I'm dealing with constant fever since early July, it's around 39°C for about a month now without an end in sight. I'm tired inside and out.
