A Barcellona sono arrivati i primi segnali di risveglio dopo l’infortunio, ma la settimana del 24enne toscano si ferma ai quarti di finale, con una sconfitta netta contro Arthur Fils. Il francese si impone in due set: 6-3 6-4 in un’ora e un quarto di gioco. Sono bastati due break, sempre nel momento decisivo del set, per indirizzare la sfida.
Musetti sta lentamente ritrovando fiducia e condizione. Dopo il ko in Australia – la sconfitta per ritiro contro Djokovic – era arrivato a Barcellona con appena due match e due sconfitte sulle gambe.
