Long days in the lab...

I have spent the last 2 days processing shallow snow and firn cores in the lab, this is the last one (for now). Really nice datasets coming out, but a lot of concentration required.

At least I have a great view (when I remember to look up).

Reason #19572 why windows can go die in a hole:

Left my laptop in the lab overnight to continue controlling a long running experiment.

Bailey, an hour after I left work. The machine decided to shut down and update windows, stopping the experiment

So now I am back in the lab with <10% of the data I need, and set back by 12 hours

Looks ugly and, ah, preliminary to say the least, I know, but to me it’s beautiful. After trying some time, we are finally capable of taking proper polarization resolved plots of nonlinear response of our epitaxial BN films 8-)
