I try to say "I am not interested in X" rather than "X is disgusting" or whatever.

You are not required to enjoy any/all kinks, but how you word your preferences can be upsetting and honestly, people with that "problematic kink" probably already feel weird about it, no need to pile on.

As long as it is consentual and/or fantasy, live and let live.

Have you ever have an attempted or successful kink shame?

A few years ago on a site I was working on, a guy who knew me from previous workspaces started making a big thing about my "shiny suit" and calling me a gimp to try and shame me.

When I said "what, you mean my latex or my leather - oh or there's my PVC too if you want to see that"

I then showed a few of the guys this.

Sorry pal, you can't kink shame someone who is out and open about their shiny fetish.

A few months later I went to a night out I knew he'd be at wearing my PVC suit. He was absolutely gobsmacked! For the record the guy in the photo is *NOT* the kink shamer and thought my suit was ace!

Oh I have to meet up with Mr Beige today.

He's the guy who has had the front to comment on my various outfits including my leather and rubber get ups. He does it in front of others and will often show them a picture of me in latex as if I'm going to be embarrassed by the fact I wear it very proudly.

This guy's idea of an exciting outfit is olive green pleated chinos rather than beige.

He's an employee at a company I do work for so it's not an option to avoid him.

In general, don't use #pantswetting as an #insult. It's #ableist, #ageist, and #kinkshaming all in one. Don't even treat it like a negative reflection on the person. People think it's shameful because it's like little #kids, old people, #disabled people, and people with #kinks they don't have, none of which is a bad thing to be. Assume that you will #wet yourself at least once more at some point in your life (you probably will), and act like you will want other people to act when you do.
