-yes, I have literally had a British person be angry at me while debating gun control- tell me they were frustrated that they(UK) don’t own us(USA) anymore and that’s why things in our country are so shitty.

This was in a supposedly vegan left leaning space where this happened and it isn’t the only time. The implications of someone living in a country known for #imperialism and #whitecolonization —telling someone in a country ravaged by #colonization that they wish they still owned you is just terribly derogatory and embarrassing.

These are the same people that #talkshit about people who live in the “USA”.

If you were to care about my opinion, I’d say to focus your rage on the US government, the corrupt billionaire class that runs the planet, and to work with your progressive brothers and sisters to improve the world. More teamwork and less in-fighting(which has been orchestrated by the ruling class anyway).

Oh, and don’t cope by #bullying others!
