How have fellow autists fared in intimate relationships with others, allistic or #ActuallyAutistic? What has been unusually difficult, what helped, and do you know of any good resources to help with this?

I always wanted a really close partner and had that once, but have only just realised that my #autism is why it was extra hard.

I've found nothing yet beyond "it helped when I was diagnosed", nothing practical, no explanations.
