🚖 The Department for #Infrastructure (DfI), Northern #Ireland, has extended the Experimental Traffic Control Scheme allowing taxis in some #Belfast city centre bus lanes for a further six months to assess its impact. A public consultation is open for road users and stakeholders to share their views, with responses accepted until 5pm on 10 June 2026. The scheme currently permits Classes A–D taxis on specific inbound and outbound lanes, with normal bus lane hours unchanged. DfI will review data on safety, journey times, and traffic volumes before deciding on long-term access.
