If you are in the Bay Area these days, clear your calendar for Intelligence at the Frontier -- a 16-floor 2-day vertical festival organised by our friends from Funding the Commons and Protocol Labs in the newly inhabited Frontier Tower. Intelligence at the Frontier blends conference, workshops, hackathon, and music and arts festival for a 36-hour immersive experience co-designing the superintelligence coordination infrastructure for a future that promotes human flourishing.

Our Wendy Hanamura will be speaking at the main stage, while many past attendees of the #DWebCamp are attending and hosting sessions on various floors.

We love it when the #DWeb ecosystem fosters the matchmaking of ideas and collectives, and the latest episode of @solarcast is a wonderful example of this! 🌱

@zelf and @tbernard met at @cbase during the DWeb Meetup a couple of weeks ago, and they recorded this insightful interview discussing @modal and much more ✨

We expect much more of this at #DWebCamp! Tickets out soon 💕

Modal

Modal is a newly founded collective focusing on emancipatory technology through development, design, organizing and policy campaigning. Consisting of representatives from various communities within secure and open-source technology such as GNOME, the New Design Congress with Cade Diem, [postmarket OS] (https://postmarketos.org/) and p2panda. Find more Modal events, such as the Boiling the Ocean meetups on the event page. Recently they launched the first application Reflection which enables offline-first collaboration. To join developer meetups, see more information here. In this talk with Tobias Bernard we touch on topics such as permacomputing, 100 rabbits and the project Dark Crystal.

Castopod

Here is (part of) the team that is making #DWebCamp happen.

We had some truly insightful conversations at @cbase yesterday, thank you to all who participated!

For those who are interested but were not able to join, please stay tuned. More coming soon!

Tickets on sale from the 9th March 2026.

#DWeb

@tayfonay @sindarina This is one of the principles of #DWebCamp!

In the office of the @fsfe with @kirschner!

Crazy to realize that I was an #FSFE intern just 2 years ago, it feels like a much longer time… so much has changed, and maaaybe I also grew up a bit.

We will for sure read Ada & Zangemann at #DWebCamp, and we hope Matthias can come to do it himself!

Long life to #SoftwareFreedom 💕

@internetarchiveeurope @dweb @cbase

In #Berlin this weekend for a #dweb meetup. I hope to get some #MapLibre map-making goodness on the schedule of #dwebcamp this Summer.

In any case: no plans for Sunday yet. Suggestions welcome, or if someone wants to hang out, maybe work a bit together in a café, feel free to DM me!

With the one and only @chobeat, we discussed the upcoming Cables of Resistance and of course the latest from the #TechWorkersCoalition 🔥

It would be incredible if we were able to bring TWC conversations to #DWebCamp

#CablesOfResistance #DWeb

This morning I went to @publix with @ontologymachine to meet the INCREDIBLE AMAZING humans of @info_activism

I have so many notes but basically the summary is: let’s federate our efforts and pursue a long-term vision and plan! Ah they also hosted a crazy cool camp with full open source documentation from 2003 to 2013

I would absolutely love it if we can bring some of these conversations to #DWebCamp

At this point we’re coming out of the concept development phase, moving into prototyping. Last week we met in Amsterdam, hosted by the @internetarchiveeurope working together with the @dweb team to prepare together for the #DWebCamp in Berlin. This is really exciting, and we’re changing gears! We now have our view at the gathering in Berlin in July, where we’ll be joining some 700 people to rebuild the internet in a decentralised, cooperative solidarity economy basis. This is #commoning!
