Brouwer AB InBev heeft dinsdag in Leuven CEO Michel Doukeris en premier Alexander De Croo over de vloer gekregen in zijn wereldwijde onderzoekscentrum (GITEC). Daar werken zowat 120 mensen aan allerhande nieuwe ontwikkelingen rond bier zelf, maar bijvoorbeeld ook verpakkingen. Eén van de installaties is Biobrew, een manier om via "precisiefermentatie" van bijvoorbeeld gist niet-dierlijke eiwitten te maken.
