I get why it’s hard for people to understand why I’m proud to be from #WestVirginia and equally proud to be from the general region of #Appalachia. Even I used to tell people I was from South Florida rather own up to being #Appalachian.

I get that you see bad things about us on the news and you have your tidy little stereotypes about #hillbillies and #rednecks. But I’d certainly rather be known as a union man than a fascist, and my blood, my family, is much of what drives my own politics.

One wonders why all the Yankees and their bootlickers react so thin-skinned.
I think they just don’t like it when you don’t play along. That’s when they become irrational.
