the #ITDoV ... ugh! 🤮️

few ideas can be more anathema for me 😱️

my whole problem is visibility, i hate it, & my failure to achieve my hoped-for invisibility from my three year journey has resulted evermore in mere existence, not life

the very concept of wanting to attract public spectacle is beyond peculiar to me 🤯️

#DropbearShit

On this International Trans Day of Visibility, remember that most political parties do not see or care about transgender people while the others want to eradicate us and erase all evidence that we ever existed.

Being visible is dangerous. It always has been and, after a decade of progress turned to backlash, is especially true right now. If you can't be visible, that's okay. But being visible isn't just about showing cisgender people that we are here and always have been. It's about showing those who might be trans that being trans is possible, even today.

I suspect it's never been harder to be visibly trans than it is right now, but happy International Transgender Day of Visibility to you anyway.

Tomorrow we recognize International Trans Day of Visiblity.

The incredible contributions of our trans community cannot be emphasized enough. The Pride movement started with the Stonewall Riots led by Trans Activist Marsha P. Johnson. Her willingness to stand up against the ongoing oppression of the queer community on June 28, 1969, became known today as the Stonewall Uprising.
