Babs is een veelzijdige, kleurrijke artiest en producer uit Leiden. In haar zelf-geproduceerde muziek brengt ze maatschappelijke en actuele rapteksten samen met dansbare popbeats.

Haar energieke liveshow was al te zien op onder andere Paaspop, Dauwpop en de Zwarte Cross, en met haar strakke liveband krijgt ze ons aan het dansen terwijl ze ook ruimte maakt voor persoonlijke en kwetsbare teksten. Op 16 mei staat Babs bij Pride Party.

Babs is a versatile, colourful artist and producer from Leiden. In her self-produced music, she combines social and topical rap lyrics with danceable pop beats.

Her energetic live show has already been seen at festivals including Paaspop, Dauwpop and the Zwarte Cross, and with her tight live band she gets us dancing while also making space for personal and vulnerable lyrics. On May 16, Babs performs at Pride Party.

Dutch Ballroom Scene is een collectief van performers uit de Dutch Ballroom Scene, een community waarin queer personen van kleur en trans personen centraal staan. Hun Voguing performance komt uit de rijke traditie van ballroom cultuur, ontstaan in de jaren 70 in New York.

Ze brengen een ballroom block vol performance, ballroom beats en echte voguing battles naar het podium. Verwacht verschillende stijlen van Vogue Femme en een krachtige kennismaking met ballroom energy, met DJ The Real Miss Colombia Mermaids, Sharmila 007, Fergie 007 Basquiat, JoJo Miyake Mugler en Divine Angels.

Dutch Ballroom Scene is a collective of performers from the Dutch ballroom scene, a community where queer people of color and trans people take center stage. Their Voguing performance comes from the rich tradition of ballroom culture, which originated in New York in the 1970s.

They bring a ballroom block filled with performance, ballroom beats and real battles to the stage. Expect various styles of Vogue Femme and a taste of ballroom energy, with DJ The Real Miss Colombia Mermaids, Sharmila 007, Fergie 007 Basquiat, JoJo Miyake Mugler and Divine Angels.

Na de Pride Walk vieren we samen verder bij de Pride Party op de Koekamp.

Verwacht een middag en avond vol live muziek, DJ’s, drag performances, ballroom energy, eten, community en ruimte om helemaal jezelf te zijn. Een plek waar viering, verbinding en zichtbaarheid samenkomen.

Op het podium zie je onder anderen Alice Olsthoorn, Will o’ the Whisperer, BABS, Teddy Mac, ARTYMA, Zulu Green, VIXEN, Dutch Ballroom Scene, drag performances en sets van DJ TMORGZ en DJ Xtra Xceptit + MC. Gehost door Ma’Ma Queen en Roseé Sheneè Plastique.

Ook op het terrein is van alles te vinden, van food trucks en een bar tot een glitter bar, pronoun game, families corner en quiet zone.

De Pride Party is gratis toegankelijk.

After the Pride Walk, we continue the celebration together at the Pride Party at Koekamp.

Expect an afternoon and evening full of live music, DJs, drag performances, ballroom energy, food, community, and space to be fully yourself. A place where celebration, connection, and visibility come together.

On stage you’ll see Alice Olsthoorn, Will o’ the Whisperer, BABS, Teddy Mac, ARTYMA, Zulu Green, VIXEN, Dutch Ballroom Scene, drag performances, and sets by DJ TMORGZ and DJ Xtra Xceptit + MC. Hosted by Ma’Ma Queen and Roseé Sheneè Plastique.

There is also plenty to find around the terrain, from food trucks and a bar to a glitter bar, pronoun game, families corner, and quiet zone.

The Pride Party is free to attend.

Pride moet een plek zijn waar zoveel mogelijk mensen zich welkom, veilig en gezien kunnen voelen.

Daarom hebben we op zaterdag bij de Pride Walk en Pride Party extra aandacht voor toegankelijkheid en comfort. Denk aan een rolstoeltoegankelijke route, een rolstoelpodium bij het feestterrein, een rustige plek om even bij te komen, gratis oordoppen, toegankelijke en genderneutrale toiletten, en een tolk Nederlandse Gebarentaal tijdens speeches en optredens.

Ook is de Koekamp direct naast Den Haag Centraal, en kun je onderweg bij de walk op verschillende momenten aansluiten of even uitstappen als dat voor jou beter werkt.

🌈 Accessibility at Pride The Hague

Pride should be a place where as many people as possible can feel welcome, safe, and seen.

That is why, during Saturday’s Pride Walk and Pride Party, we are giving extra attention to accessibility and comfort. This includes a wheelchair-accessible route, a wheelchair platform at the party terrain, a quiet space to take a break, free earplugs, accessible and gender-neutral toilets, and a sign language interpreter during speeches and performances.

Koekamp is also right next to Den Haag Centraal, and you can join or step out of the walk at different points along the route if that works better for you.

Op 16 mei host Ma’Ma Queen de Pride Party bij Pride The Hague. Verwacht een queen met fenomenale zelfgemaakte looks, drag queen story hours en een groot hart.

Ryan Cassata (he/him) is een productieve folk-punk artiest, multi-instrumentalist en een bepalende stem in moderne protestmuziek. Zijn werk is geworteld in LGBTQIA+ belangenbehartiging en sociale rechtvaardigheid, met songs die de trans ervaring, transfobie, escapisme en systemische verandering raken.

Met een sound die blues en pop-punk doorkruist, brengt Ryan muziek die rauw, direct en beweging-gericht is. Op 16 mei staat hij bij Pride Party, met een praktijk die past bij een programma waarin zichtbaarheid, verzet en menselijke waardigheid centraal staan.
