It's a tea-saster! A catastroph-tea! Atha, whose vessel origin is British, is left without a working electric kettle after the Vulpibus kettle was damaged by fire, by chemicals and by falling. Seriously, that kettle has seen some things.

Can we get a new one? The cheap plastic ones start from like $14, a metal one that might last longer is probably a bit pricier.

And maybe a pizza? It's been months since the Vulpibus folks enjoyed one.

🌈What’s Really Happening in Tennessee Right Now — And Why It Matters for All of Us

The Tennessee legislature has introduced a coordinated cluster of bills that all target LGBTQ people in different ways. Each bill looks small on its own, but when you put them together, a clear pattern emerges: They remove protections, reduce visibility, limit recognition of LGBTQ families, and take power away from local communities.

It's a blueprint for other states. Tennessee is in the Whitehouse and declared itself a blueprint for immigration. Tennessee is also a blueprint for anti-lgbtq+ existence, which eventually means your existence too (even if you're not lgbtq+).

Here is what they're doing in our state... and soon, your state:
1. The “Banning Bostock Act” (HB1472) This bill says the FEDERAL act regarding anti‑discrimination laws cannot protect LGBTQ people.
2. The Marriage Non‑Recognition Bill (HB1473) This bill will allow private businesses and organizations to refuse to recognize same‑sex marriages.
3. The “No Pride Flag or Month Act” (HB1474)
This bill bans Pride flags, Pride emblems, and PRIDE MONTH

Obdachlosigkeit von Frauen und TIN*-PersonenEs braucht mehr Schutz vor Gewalt, sagt die BAG Wohungslosenhilfe

Gewalt gehört für viele wohnungslose Frauen zum Alltag. Auf der Straße, in Notunterkünften und oft auch im privaten Umfeld. Mit einer letzte Woche veröffentlichten Dunkelfeldstudie liegen nach Jahren wieder umfassende Daten mit alarmierenden Erkenntnissen zur Gewaltbetroffenheit in Deutschland vor. Gleichzeitig tauchen wohnungslose Frauen, Männer und TIN*-Personen ohne festen Wohnsitz in der Studie gar nicht auf. Die Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Wohnungslosenhilfe führt seit Jahren ein Pressemonitoring zu Gewalttaten gegen wohnungslose Menschen durch.

Was die BAG Wohnungslosenhilfe dabei dokumentiert, ist erschreckend jedoch nur die Spitze des Eisbergs.

Wohnungslose Menschen erleben strukturelle, physische, psychische und sexualisierte Gewalt. Auf der Straße, in Notunterkünften oder in prekären Wohnsituationen.

Besonders gefährdet sind dabei wohnungslose Frauen und TIN*-Personen. Wie unzureichend deren Schutz bislang ist und was politisch dringend passieren müsste, darüber sprachen ich für @RDL mit Frau Gersch von der Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Wohnungslosenhilfe.
