How did #Israel make a house in Tehran blow up?
The why is clear - they want large scale war. The *how* is bothering me.
It is 1700km from #Jerusalem to #Tehran. A missile big enough to do that leaves a substantial track, surely? For comparison, the currently newsworthy missiles in the Ukrainian war have ranges of 500km. Wikipedia says Israel's cruise missiles have a similar range.
Possessing The #Bomb, it makes sense that Israel has missiles capable of reaching all of Iran. Wikipedia says they're called '#Jericho' and they are a three stage #missile. Those three stages would all leave a livid trace, surely. Bits of it would litter the desert and be findable.
Did #Israel just use one? Just for this one assassination? #ICBMs are not cheap. (Hmmm also it means that terminal guidance on Jericho is precise, or that it can be fitted with a precision terminal vehicle particularly suitable for assassinations.)
Or, did pilots fly around and over Georgia, then launch a small ground attack missile? The Russians wouldn't allow that, ... would they? Russians are not cheap either, I suppose?
Or, did they use up a cell in Iran for the job? Again, not cheap.
All of it means that Ismail Haniyeh *in Tehran* was a very very very important target. The speculation that he was a modern Archduke Franz Ferdinand has some merit, I suppose.
