Dit standvlindertje zien we in in tuinen, parken en bosachtige gebieden, dorpen en steden. Dit vlindertje is een beetje een 'hoogvlieger' en fladdert dus meestal niet op bloemenhoogte.

Unlike this holly blue, I'm facing yet-another odyssey but this time it affects both of my tele zoom lenses. My second-hand EF 70-200mm f/4 USM also started to fail & I'm trading it for another used one in good condition, choosing to not replace my dead EF-S 55-250mm for the time being. I'll be stuck with my small kit lens for at least another week, though it continues to deliver pretty good results.

Today I spotted a Holly Blue (Celastrina argiolus) in the garden, resting on wild marjoram (Origanum vulgare)!
It’s one of the first blue butterflies to appear in spring and summer, often seen fluttering around ivy, holly, or buckthorn.
I always love how their shimmering blue wings catch the sunlight.

Vanmiddag een boomblauwtje (Celastrina argiolus) in de tuin gezien, rustend op wilde marjolein (Origanum vulgare)!
Het is een van de eerste blauwtjes die in lente en zomer tevoorschijn komen, vaak te vinden bij klimop, hulst of wegedoorn.
Die flitsende blauwe vleugels in het zonlicht zijn telkens weer een prachtig gezicht.
