It's nearly impossible to capture any A. cardamines individuals when they're active before the garlic mustards start to bloom. Although they sometimes feed on the nectar of dandelions & few other plants they still show a clear preference for garlic mustard & act very hectic when they've yet to develop their blossoms.

My best homie who got me hooked on butterflies in the first place recently taught me where exactly A. cardamines females prefer to lay their eggs on. While we already knew that they exclusively rely on garlic mustard, their eggs are hidden right under the leaves & will turn orange within a few days. If multiple leaves are already full, females will start to lay their eggs on top of the leaves.
