@jortmentink I had a similar experience when I finally moved #homeassistant off of docker to a #HAOS vm on proxmox.

Totally painless and took me < 30m, most of which was verifying things because it went so smoothly I was suspicious 😃

Anyone out there installed a differential pressure sensor to measure pressure drop across their #HVAC #filter? What did you use and how did you do it?
I really don't love climbing up on a step stool at the top of my stairs every so often just to eyeball whether the filter is dirty.

If you are using #HomeAssistant OS #HAOS (the pre-made appliance image), and have it in both - trusted LAN and untrusted appliances networks - consider upvoting this issue: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/161971

HomeAssistant Container installations are now - by default - more secure than the HAOS installation, which defeats the purpose of a „simplified“-installation method and would demote the appliance to being less capable than container or untrustworthy on the trusted LAN.

Pläni on kehittynyt. Asensin wanhaan NUCciin HAOS ja siihen Zigbee2MQTT kosteus- ja lämpötila-anturit jotka saan virtaan kiinni. Seuraavaksi katselen jostain noita 240v toimilaitteita muutaman lisää, ja niille varmaan Shelly-pohjaiset releet. Ohjaus HAOS kautta. #haos #zigbee #shelly #zigbee2mqtt

For context I’ve set up #HAOS on a #RPi5, and #Jellyfin & #ShinobiNVR & #AdGuardHome on a #Linux server. They work great (well, not Shinobi yet…) on my home LAN, but I would like access outside of my home as well. I’m wading into unfamiliar territory though so I want advice from more knowledgeable nerds than me 🤓

Flashed #HAOS to a SSD and set up #HomeAssistant on the new 8GB #RaspberryPi today. Memory & Swap usage dropped from 78% & 100% respectively on the #RPi3 to 12% & 0% on the new #RPi5. Probably overkill but that baby is hummin’ along now!

Pretty sure a good chunk of my #HomeAssistant woes are coming from running #HAOS from a SD card on an old #RPi3 with only 1GB RAM, since my memory usage is routinely ~78% and swap usage ~100%.

Here’s to hoping a new #RPi5 with 8GB RAM and a SSD resolve these issues. 🤞

@tux okay #podman ist ja eine docker alternative. Okay dann wirst du etwas mehr Aufwand haben und einiges manuel machen müssen. Ich hatte das am Anfang auch so. War mir zu viel basteln bin daher auf #haos gewechselt.
