So I have a tool that makes /etc/os-release more readable from the command line. And I have another more general purpose tool that takes output in various forms and transforms it into a different form. I just added a "grid style" that makes use of unicode characters to build a table with connected cells.

How is this thing done? I tried Markdown code format here on Mastodon, using code HTML tags, neither work.

Is my suspicion using own instance with allowed code use correct? ActivityPub supports this, but Mastodon don't?

My gut is telling me that Mastodon is having an issue today.

It could be WRONG, mind you; my gut doesn't have a perfect track record. But I have a feeling that suddenly a bunch of responses are going to flood in. Kind of like a surge of peristalsis, know what I mean?

That's how I view Mastodon: as a huge length of human intestine, pumping information along with occasional delays and blockages. Which makes it feel more •human•, oddly enough.

By the way, I'm really liking the use of bullets for emphasis instead of asterisks. It looks better, somehow. What do you think?
