An inconvenient truth. Under #JCPOA #Iran was given access to the money that it owned by selling its own oil, but was sitting frozen in Western banks. IT WAS NOT #US MONEY THAT WAS HANDED OVER TO #IRAN. #US did not earn that money.

Yes #Iran used that money to arm its proxies and carry out mayhem. BUT IT WAS #IRAN'S MONEY. NOT #US MONEY.

The weapons that could be diverted away from #Ukraine include air defense interceptor missiles, ordered through a #NATO program launched last year in which partner countries buy #US arms for Kyiv, the 3 people said….

The Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (#PURL) initiative has ensured a flow of select #military equipment to Kyiv even as the #Trump admin has cut off most of the #Pentagon’s direct #security assistance.

#Iran or #IRGC or anybody inside Iran should not be delusional on claiming sovereignty over Strait of #Hormuz. #Iran cannot be allowed to levy a protection-racket-levy on ANY shipping flowing through strait of #Hormuz.

#Houthis lost global support and sympathy in their fight against #Saudi due to their impeding shipping via Red Sea, #Iran will face something similar.

Significant global opinion will turn hostile to #Iran if this happens.
