Why should failure to block something amount to a tacit approval? To me, that is an argument from silence, a fallacy, and this war of choice in Iran remains unauthorized by Congress (see https://reason.com/2026/04/16/congress-declines-again-to-rein-in-trumps-iran-war/). Even more ludicrous is why Congress—who decides on which wars to wage—requires a two-thirds majority to overrule a president's veto on a war powers resolution (see INS v. Chadha).
