Brian VastagWhoever built my house decided to use 3" diameter pancake junction boxes for the outdoor lights...that means there is about 1/2" of vertical room inside the junction box. WHY DID THEY DO THIS WHY. Trying to find replacement lights that work with these little bastards has proven impossible.

I’d go straight for replacing the LED for a red one. Find one with same/similar power and exchange them in place.
Soldering is not as challenging as it may sound and it’s a super useful skill to acquire. So many things can be fixed with the touch of a hot iron. 😁

DesertFOXManchmal sind es die Kleinigkeiten, die besonders ärgerlich sind. Hatte mir vor ein paar Tagen versehentlich zwei der runden Kunststoffbeine meines PC-Gehäuses abgebrochen. Es handelt sich um ein - inzwischen wohl ziemlich seltenes, weil nicht mehr erhältliches - Thermaltake Level 20 VT für MicroATX Mainboards. Glücklicherweise konnte ich über eBay Kleinanzeigen doch noch ein paar Ersatzteile ergattern, sodass mein Gaming PC nun auch wieder vernünftig gerade stehen kann. Hurrah! 😜😎

Heck and dang. We spotted a leaking crack in the main drain pipe - thankfully upstream of the bathroom - while in the crawl space to winterize the house. It's 1-1/2" copper tubing and I wanted to avoid having to cut & sweat pipe so I got one of those pipe bandage kits. As I'm working the epoxy into the crack, I grip a portion of the pipe a few inches up and my fingers go through the bottom of it.
Looks like I'll be cutting & sweating pipe after all...
Giving it a quick lookover, the body of the saw is held together by about a dozen screws. I take off the blade, remove the screws, and find no obvious problems inside. The wiring is all intact and all the connectors appear to be well-seated. I see the trigger actuates a lever which presses against a contact switch to turn on the motor. I plug the saw back in and manually depress the switch, and the motor spins up.

(Je l'avais fait pour un concours dont le thème était "la vie en 2050" et franchement, j'aimerai beaucoup que la vie ce soit ça en 2050 et que notre seul problème soit le manque d'électricité et pas le fascisme par exemple)
