L'Unità: Cadavere avvolto tra lenzuola e sacchi di plastica: fermate tre persone per la morte di Giuseppe Florio

Sono due donne e un uomo le tre persone fermate dai Carabinieri per l’omicidio di Giuseppe Florio, originario e residente a Giardini Naxos, l’uomo ritrovato in una zona di campagna a Mitogio, una frazione di Castiglione di Sicilia, in provincia di Catania. A emettere il provvedimento i Procuratori di Catania e di Messina, le accuse sono a vario titolo di omicidio e di soppressione di cadavere.
Il cadavere di Florio era avvolto tra lenzuola e sacchi di plastica, a scoprirlo un passante. Sul corpo del 66enne i segni inferti con un corpo contundente, forse un martello, e numerose coltellate. Secondo i primi accertamenti delle Procure di Catania e di Messina, l’omicidio poteva esser stato commesso in un altro posto e il cadavere spostato nel luogo del ritrovamento: la vittima potrebbe esser stata uccisa a Taormina e il corpo trasportato nella campagna etnea.
Le indagini sono state estese anche alla provincia di Messina, rendendosi necessaria l’attivazione immediata del coordinamento investigativo fra la procura etnea e quella della città dello Stretto, che ha portato all’individuazione, in località Santa Venera, Taormina, di una Fiat Panda completamente carbonizzata, risultata intestata al 66enne, che nel frattempo era stata identificata da un conoscente.
Le persone fermate sono una 50enne, il compagno 39enne e un’altra donna 53enne, i primi due accusati di omicidio e la terza per soppressione di cadavere. Per le due Procure “è stato così ricostruito come l’omicidio fosse stato commesso in casa della vittima, come confermato dal ritrovamento di “numerose tracce riconducibili alla violenta aggressione compiuta ai danni del 66enne”. La salma è stata sequestrata e trasferita all’Istituto di medicina legale del Policlinico di Catania.
Secondo le indagini l’uomo frequentava spesso un complesso di edilizia popolare di Trappitello, frazione di Taormina. Setacciate le immagini registrate dagli impianti di videosorveglianza della zona e ascoltate numerose persone considerate informate dei fatti. Condotti sul posto numerosi sopralluoghi tecnico-scientifici dai carabinieri dei Comandi provinciali di Messina e Catania e dal Reparto Investigazioni scientifiche del capoluogo peloritano.

The body of Florio was wrapped in sheets and plastic bags, discovered by a passerby. The 66-year-old’s body showed signs of violence with blunt force trauma, possibly a hammer, and numerous stab wounds. According to the initial investigations by the Public Prosecutors of Catania and Messina, the murder may have been committed elsewhere, and the body moved to the location where it was found: the victim may have been killed in Taormina and the body transported to the eastern countryside.

The investigation was extended to the province of Messina, necessitating the immediate activation of the investigative coordination between the eastern prosecutor’s office and that of the city of Messina, which led to the identification, at Santa Venera, Taormina, of a completely burned-out Fiat Panda, registered to the 66-year-old, who had meanwhile been identified by an acquaintance.

The people stopped are a 50-year-old, her 39-year-old partner, and another 53-year-old woman, the first two accused of murder and the third of concealing a corpse. For the two Public Prosecutors, “it was thus reconstructed that the murder was committed in the victim’s home, as confirmed by the discovery of “numerous traces attributable to the violent aggression against the 66-year-old.” The body was seized and transferred to the Forensic Medicine Institute of the Policlinico of Catania.

According to the investigations, the man frequently visited a social housing complex in Trappitello, a hamlet of Taormina. Surveillance footage from the area was reviewed and numerous people considered informed of the facts were interviewed. Numerous technical-scientific surveys were conducted on site by the Carabinieri of the provincial commands of Messina and Catania and the Scientific Investigation Department of the Peloritano capital.

#Mobilitätswende

So hatten wir in der Vergangenheit schon zweimal das Vergnügen, dass ich den Nachwuchs mit dem Yeti und einem Abschleppseil wieder nach Hause geholt habe. Zunächst haben wir nicht heraus gefunden, woran der mangelnde Schaltwillen liegt. Aber wenn der Panda auf der Autobahn beim Überholvorgang plötzlich auf „neutral“ schaltet und ausrollt, sorgt das für Herzklopfen. Im Netz kursierten allerlei Theorien, letztendlich half aber eine volle Batterie. Die haben wir vor drei Jahren auch getauscht.

Gestern gegen Mittag ist der große Junge dann mit seiner Freundin wieder nach Paderborn aufgebrochen, nachdem die beiden die Feiertage bei uns verbracht hatten. Ich war gerade bei Jysk ein bisschen bummeln, als das Telefon klingelte und der Junge dran war. Ich natürlich gleich Herzklopfen, was denn 15 Minuten nach Abfahrt passiert ist. Natürlich wieder die Schaltung. Direkt an der Abfahrt Herford Ost wollte die Halbautomatik nicht mehr schalten. Also bin ich nach Hause, habe mir eine dicke Jacke angezogen und bin mit dem Yeti los. Gut dass der eine Anhängerkupplung hat, ein Abschleppseil immer im Kofferraum bereit liegt und der Junge auch weiß, wie man sich abschleppen lässt.

Die Fahrt nach Paderborn klappte jedenfalls ohne weitere Vorfälle. Ich bin jetzt jedenfalls schon wieder dabei, auf mobile.de zu schauen. Ein Mazda MX30 ist mit sehr wenig Kilometern für recht wenig Geld zu bekommen. Mal gucken.
