Mom's cataracts doctor is a really wonderful Portuguese man. He understands immigrants & was very kind to my Mom. Dr. Pedago is one of the best doctors we have encountered in many years. Mom said - He has kind eyes/excellent human energy. I'm very grateful that we got him with a referral. I like to give credit, when it's truly due, to medical professionals, who treat their immigrant patients well. I notice it & also notice when some doctors have displayed bigoted behaviours towards immigrants (who aren't fully literate, like Mom). Real glad that I had no reasons to draw out my defensive tiger daughter claws, today π―

Not sure how well this experience translates across the generations, but one thing that always makes me laugh after seeing an #EyeDoctor for an #eye exam is how those #dilating eyedrops makes *everything* appear like a beautiful woman onscreen in #StarTrek #TOS.

Van Gogh wasn't big on ear health, but he never missed an eye appointment. I got checked out, bought contacts, and waded through the glasses. I STILL need to replace my college frames and lenses.
