The government only covers monofocal intraocular lens - when my Mom requires advanced lenses. Government doesn't cover advanced cataracts lenses.

It appears I'm about to have my second encounter with buccaneer eye care. Corneas are growing calcium scale, likely from artificial tears abuse. Treatment is to debride the cornea and wash with 3% dii-sodium EDTA.

The procedure sounds awfully like one in the Reactor Plant Manual for cleaning fresh water heat exchanges. Or the one used to clean urinal drains to sanitaries.

Eye version sounds somewhat tamer. Minor procedure with eye numbing like for pressure checks.
