Ianalumab

I want to share for those with Sjogren's; my Rheumatologist informed me of a drug which has been in clinical trials to possibly become a treatment for Sjogren's. It is a biologic; called Ianalumab. Developed by Novartis. There are numerous articles which come up on Google; when you search. My doctor mentioned it continues to pass through the clinical trials, and move forward.

PRP Drops

Just an update; since I shared I was looking into the PRP drops. My appt is Monday. I will do the blood draw and then drop my vials off at the pharmacy. The pharmacy then makes the drops for me. I was told it will take 2 to 3 days. I will go back and pick them up; once they are ready.

Eye visit today, short update

I had another follow up today with my eye doctor. He agreed to bump up my dose of the Doxy to 100mg. I did not have any improvement in my Meibomian glands over the past 6 weeks; taking the 50mg dose of Doxy. Which I already knew. They are still pink/red, irritated and raw everyday. I had previously read a lot about Doxy and Meibomian glands.

Short post

I haven't had much time to post over the past couple of weeks. After discussing PRP eye drops with my Rheumatologist, I have decided to give them a try. I am desperate right now. Nothing I have used over the past 3 years, has given me relief or even enough relief to resume normal daily activities, not to mention, have a somewhat normal life again.
