I came across this fishing equipment that had washed up on the beach. It’s far too heavy for anyone to remove & carry 3km out of the National Park. Likely it will stay here, slowly degrading & distributing plastic particles into the environment for many years to come. Unless a huge storm washes it out to sea, in which case it will degrade in the ocean.
