Lab Tip 1: Magnetic Name Tags!

We wanted to make it easier for students and instructors to learn each other's names. So we found whiteboard magnets that fit on the front edge of the shelves in the lab. There were enough in the package for each student to have one all semester. And since we have metal lockers they double as locker labels between classes. Introducing the Innovation in Instructional Laboratories (I² Lab)! @i2lab When I was named an Engineering Unleashed Fellow for 2023, it gave me the opportunity to launch my own research lab. Last semester I had three students working with me and this semester we've added two more. We are applying KEEN's entrepreneurial mindset (EM), design thinking, and universal design for learning (UDL) to make the BIOE415 laboratory space and course more accessible and inclusive.
