Interesting:

• Library does not want to include ERG language in Article 22. They do not want to “lock it
into a contract” because it's still a new concept and they want flexibility. They agree we
need to have more discussions on it as time goes on.
• Union not in agreement.

So the union is trying to get our ERGs codified into the contract. This makes it feel like the library wants to be able to axe them the moment they call for what the library feels is too much.

I'm more on board with ERGs now.

2. Get (appropriately) involved in your (Black) community
a. Patronize Black-owned businesses
b. Volunteer with organizations that serve the Black community
c. Start or join existing Black #EmployeeResourceGroups or #AffinityGroup as an ally-- and remember that #AllyIsAVerb not a label you give yourself
d. Join or contribute to Black professional organizations in your field of expertise, I promise they're out there (i.e. #NSBE )
