Apologies if this this is rude or offensive. I don't think it is, but that's not my call. If it is let me know and I'll take it down.
I run the digital sign for our library, and we're having an Arabic Language Storytime next month. We have a large middle eastern population in our area, (Palestinians and Jordanians in particular.)
I want to use [some of] the Palestinian and Jordanian flags' colors in the screen for the Storytime. My scheme at the moment is a green field, with white text with a dark red border. Dark red to improve contrast for people seeing the sign while driving.
Will that use of the colors be offensive? Or in that scheme? Is there a better way?
Or should I just use the usual violet, light blue, and black of children's programs.

And I'm happy to report that it doesn't seem like our marketing department use AI this year. A couple years ago they did and it looked very obvious and Bad:tm:. Either someone actually made the art this year, or the AI got really good at our mascot.
I was cringing so hard in '24 at those displays.
Just saw that Macmillan's "Library Marketing" has a logo with catseye glasses. Annoyingly stereotypic.
(Nevermind the fact I'd wear catseye glasses if the fit my face.)

We got a 3D printer at work, (long story) and it needed software. I had the old version, but when I updated, I had both. After rigamarole with IT, I got it down to one, but it still wouldn't open ufp files. So I looked up the problem and saw that the resistry is probably wrong. I went in and edited it and now it (finally) works right.
Whee.
Would it be rude to respond to our CPO's email about the new AI position with "ugh" or "boo" and/or the barfing emoji?

And it reminded if something that just happened. I was walking to my break and a copy of Evil Dead caught my eye. It turns out it's been remastered.
Anyway, I picked it up to figure that out and was like, "this is a Blockbuster case." Sure as shit, I open it up and it is.
If you collect DVDs and need new cases and find a box of new old stock, get them if they're reasonable. The cases are very sturdy and have a matte finish on the clear plastic. Comparing them to the retail ones that have so little heft, they feel like the companies resent having to make a case.
They're unmistakable.
