#Alstom has reaffirmed its commitment to the #UK rail supply chain after spending more than £720 million with nearly 1,300 British suppliers over the past year, supporting around 11,000 jobs. Speaking at the company’s Supplier Day and CSR Awards in Derby, Alstom outlined plans to strengthen collaboration with suppliers through long-term agreements, strategic sourcing and innovation. Around 90% of its UK spend was with #British #businesses, while 33% went to SMEs. The company also reported that UK suppliers exported around £100 million of goods and services to Alstom operations in 37 countries. More than 200 industry representatives attended the event, which concluded with supplier networking sessions. Alstom also presented nine CSR Awards recognising suppliers for achievements in economic growth, health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, and climate action.
