Ugh, it’s been a week of dreaming about my ex being in my life for some reason, not respecting boundaries and still claiming “ownership” of me. So gross. I divorced 10 years ago!
Last night was a Ramadan themed dream, being coerced into keeping up appearances (me saying I’m not staying with you, we are done) while visiting a work buddy in a multilevel mansion, providing a lavish iftar for everyone, everyone dressed to the nines, food copious, fucking swag and gift bags. I reluctantly wedged myself between him and a Danish guest (solace). Kept my head down trying to disappear. When the guys got up to pray, I left and wandered the mansion. Top floors had families who were staff, staff grannies watching tv, staff kids off duty kept in their area. It felt better to be away from the dick posturing wealth and piety. The hostess found me up there. She was also a convert stuck in a situation because of her kids. She too was hiding out and taking a break from the party. She cornered me, and confessed she really needed to get laid, but her husband couldn’t, couldn’t wank because it’s not allowed in Islam, and asked me to help relieve her. (This wasn’t “hot” it was human, and seeking empathy.) I actually declined because there was no safe place, kids everywhere. We even had to keep our language subtle and coded while kids rambled around us. She told me she too was sick of the posturing and stuck in a marriage because she has no financial means to leave, and kids. :(

#Pakistan is in a different war, with #Afghanistan, declared the day before the #IranWar and largely overlooked. They're currently in a 5-day ceasefire for #Eid.
