LOL so the Nationals have officially abandoned net zero and by extension renewable energy. I'll enjoy watching them come up with an affordable energy policy relying on fossils and nuclear, the most expensive and harmful energy sources. The LNP Coalition is in crisis. #DustbinofHistory #auspol #renewables #nuclear
The GOP have yet to pass one law or bill that doesn’t help just a few billionaires. 🤔 This level of Republican pathetic weakness is historic beyond compare. They are like the Whig party without all the staying power. 🤷 #EpsteinFiles #DustbinOfHistory
Violation Of Sikh Religious Code, Alleges SAD(A) & Dal Khalsa On Same-Sex Marriage At Bathinda Gurudwara

Solemnisation of a same-sex marriage at a Gurudwara in Bathinda on September 18 has led to a major controversy. Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) and Dal Khalsa demanded action against the shrine's management committee and the granthi who performed the Anand Karaj (Sikh marriage ceremony). In India, same-sex marriages are not currently legal even though Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which criminalised homosexuality, was struck down by the Supreme Court of India in 2018.In 2017, the Delhi High Court declared that same-sex couples are entitled to be in a stable relationship but stopped short of legalising same-sex marriage.  Alleged violation of Sikh religious code of conduct SAD(A) and Dal Khalsa alleged violation of the Sikh religious code of conduct and are firm on punitive action. They had written to Takht Damdama Sahib jathedar to take action against the gurdwara management committee and the granthi.  Protesters holding the marriage certificate issued by the gurudwara/ BCCLSAD(A) president Parminder Singh Balianwali and Dal Khalsa member Hardeep Singh Mehraj said apart from "religious punishment", the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee should get a case registered against them, as TOI reported. The granthi has tendered an apology. "If the SGPC delays action, we will approach police," said Balianwali. Earlier instance of condemnation of same-sex marriage In 2020, the Akal Takht took strong notice of a homosexual knot accomplished under the patronage of Sri Guru Granth Sahib' saroop' in the USA. Akal Takht officiating Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh had issued strong directions to a US couple - Sarbjeet Singh Neel and his wife Leela - who had allegedly got this 'unholy' ceremony done recently in Sacramento. Denouncing same-sex marriages at any Gurudwara The Sikh Missionary Society (U.K.) had stated that the institution of married life is at the core of Sikh religious teaching and that Sikh religion rejects celibacy and asceticism and condemns promiscuity regardless of sexual leanings. It states that sexual relationship is allowed within the bounds of a "marriage of bliss" (Anand Karaj), which unites a man and a woman as "one soul" (ek jyot).  WikipediaHowever, various people have pointed out that there are no references to homosexuality and homophobia in Guru Granth Sahib. In January 2005, the then Jathedar (custodian) of the Akal Takht, Joginder Singh Vedanti had issued a ‘hukumnama’ (edict) denouncing the same-sex marriages and urging the worldwide Sikh community not to allow such marriages to take place at any Gurdwara. The Akal Takht is the highest seat of Sikh temporal-religious (miri-piri) authority for interpreting Sikh teachings.  For more on news and current affairs from around the world, please visit Indiatimes News.
