IMO: Collectively recognizing that at levels necessary to keep those folks *out of decision making positions* (in cultures BUILT on colonialism, and other false hierarchies where lots of norms encourage people towards authoritarianism) has been difficult. IOW we can do math well enough to send people into space, but the social sciences have been so -intentionally- hobbled, that sociopathic tech bros proudly crow about having zero introspection and fail at being decent human beings
