Habe heute das erste mal überhaupt so eine Schmerzsalbe mit #diclofenac genommen. Der Schmerz (Ellenbogen, Golfarm) war nach ca. 3 Minuten weg, kein Scheiß.
Jetzt die Frage an #doctorsofmastodon: Spielt mir mein Gehirn mit einem #placeboeffekt einen Streich?
In der Zeit schafft es doch kein Wirkstoff, geschätzte 0,5cm Gewebe zu durchdringen, bzw. aufgenommen zu werden und dann den Sehnenansatz lokal zu betäuben..?!

Is anyone else under 40 and experiences persistent #tinnitus in one ear? I noticed it about 6 months or so ago and it never went away. How do yall manage early hearing damage/loss?

My right ear doesn't work for shit anymore. I'm only 39 and people yell and mouth words at me like I'm their grandpa.

I'm on the edge about my daughter's SIXTH documented case of #StrepA. ENT requires SEVEN documented cases, and I'm so frustrated.

Of course I don't want to subject my child to unnecessary surgical procedures, but her snoring and repeated, nearly back-to-back cases of strep have affected her physically, emotionally, and academically with missed school.

I have made appt with alt #ENT doc to discuss possibility of exception for #tonsillectomy.

Sigh.

Ah good. I just discovered one of my nails has an indent in it and according to the internet this could be because of immune system issues.
Hopefully because it's on the end of my nail means that it was a temporary disruption to immune system regulation (from long/persistent covid) and now that I'm on truvada, not going to worsen.
Any more information or advice is appreciated

So my doc is scheduling way out. I ended up in the hospital two days ago for breathing problems after getting over the flu. They gave me 60 mg doses of prednisone with no taper for 5 days and a long acting inhaler (atrovent hfa) as well as a high dose of guaifenecin. If on day 3 my breathing is a bit better but the gurgling at the bottom of one of my lungs is still happening, is that cause for concern? #doctorsofmastodon #advice

Peeps gotta understand that nowhere is safe. GP isn't safe, dentists aren't safe, phlebotomists aren't safe. Every outing is a calculated risk because no one is wearing proper PPE, I have to be in full PPE and I'm still at risk. That's why I ask medical questions online sometimes, it's to make a more calculated risk. Can I leave it or does it require attention?
