Is anyone else under 40 and experiences persistent #tinnitus in one ear? I noticed it about 6 months or so ago and it never went away. How do yall manage early hearing damage/loss?

My right ear doesn't work for shit anymore. I'm only 39 and people yell and mouth words at me like I'm their grandpa.

@deweyritten I've had ear problems my whole life, all 37 years of it. Up until just a few months ago I had to wear an ear plug in my right ear when showering, couldn't get any water in it at all. Using a nasal spray for allergies (like Flonase) actually seems to help a little bit. But other than that sadly I haven't managed to manage it much at all
@deweyritten I started noticing hearing loss in my 30s. I reckon it’s pretty common but a pain in the ass nonetheless. I use subtitles on TV and can regularly hear my pulse in my ear. Have you spoken to your doctor?
@deweyritten What?
Well over 40...
Tinnitus since my 20s...
Mostly I ignore it, and simply ask people to speak in a lower pitch and/or repeat themselves.

@deweyritten have it at both ears since I was young.

My main issue is to have conversations in a crowded or lousy place.

@deweyritten I'm 35 and have hearing loss in my right ear, too. It's hard to say what I notice when my ringing happens.
@Lady_Jess hey! mine went away! idk what i must have done to incur that hearing loss for months, but im sure glad the tinnitus was not permanent. FWIW, I quit using earbuds and think that significantly helped.
