I swear, sometimes dissociation seems like a superpower. Sarah was trying to help our roommate move some of his stuff into our storage unit since we have so much unused space in it, and she got really overwhelmed. Partly by noise just from being out of the house, partly from the stress (we are in the process of moving), and partly because she banged the back of our truck into a wall while at the storage place. She had a full on screaming meltdown and just couldn't take it any more.

So I stepped in to take over. She went inside to rest and I came out feeling pretty happy and upbeat and looking forward to the rest of the work. We ended up moving more stuff than originally planned. And now here I am at home playing games. I feel like the day has gone really well, but I know that before I came out the day was turning out to be horrible for Sarah.

But, yeah, that's dissociation, I guess. Those bad things from earlier? They didn't happen to me.

Dites, est-ce que vous avez des ressources pour une personne multiple qui se fait (entre autres) pourrir la vie par un alter ? Elle a des gros problèmes d’humeur et de mémoire notamment.
Elle est dans un sale état physique et ça la fait vriller, en plus de ses problèmes habituels. Elle est hospitalisée là, parce qu’elle devenait dangereuse (réellement).

Elle n’a pas d’espaces de pair-aidance et c’est compliqué. Idéalement il lui faudrait des espaces physiques en région parisienne (plutôt nord), éventuellement des personnes pour l’accompagner quand elle sortira de l’hôpital. Son copain et sa coloc font tout ce qu’iels peuvent mais sont dépassés, et il y a besoin de gens qui SAVENT.

Elle est moyennement en état de fréquenter des espaces écrits mais si vous avez, donnez aussi.

Français de préférence, je crois que l’anglais peut passer.

stop using DID, traumagenic, and disordered interchangeably. just stop. please.

DID = dissociative identity disorder (which is not always traumagenic)
traumagenic = formed by trauma
disordered = from/heavily affected by any disorder (not just OSDDID)

when you conflate them you’re, intentionally or not, contributing to medicalist rhetoric and kind of being a dick.

this includes directing questions that pertain to any dissociative system at “traumagenic systems,” or asking general plurality questions while for no real reason only allowing systems with DID to respond. be thoughtful with who you name and exclude, and make sure you’re saying what you need instead of repeating the mistakes of #dissociatwt over here

i mean i don’t even like how normalized the traumagenic label is but that’s for another day (though LB Lee has a post on it that explains it well).
