Yesterday's project was to make a dynamic name badge for my plural partner(s); it's designed kind of like those parking disks, but from (printed) paper glued/taped onto a cardboard backing. The purpose of the badge is to clearly communicate who is speaking (or at least as clearly as is known).
The disc inside has a few different segments with different (named) fronting configurations, and the outer 'card' has a hole at the top for attaching to a lanyard. There's a 'window' in the card on both sides that allows for rotating the disk to change the fronting indicator.
The center of the disk has a small cutout and the front and back of the card have been stapled together (in a plus shape) through it, to keep the disk in place. The printed front/back were taped over afterwards to protect skin from the staples; tape was used rather than glue to prevent bending of the card, and provide a protective layer.
