Bloody #DRM. What part of 'legitimate usage' does this walled garden not get?

I presume #Kobo is just as hog-tied, and that doesn't even have a Mac app [edit: in the UK/EU].

Today's my 19th anniversary as a mostly very happy #Linux user! I made the switch from Windows because of a fraudulent, now-forgotten spyware application for copyright enforcement, "#Microsoft Genuine Advantage".

It was marketed as something useful to me, when it was in fact constantly sapping processor cycles to discipline me. Since then, it has become increasingly common for mainstream software to take hostile action.
