How many ways besides libel can a false statement, whether on its own, or in combination with something else, be made to constitute civil or criminal offence? (What suffices to constitute fraud? negligent misrepresentation? breach of contract or warranty? tortuous interference? perjury? etc.…?)
Suppose a rudimentary open-source #DRM were to be implemented in web servers and web browsers (or a web-browser add-on), such that the key to the TPM comprises proof of the user's agreement to and utterance of legal statements to the effect that they're not using "generative AI" (plagiarism synthesis) to interact with the site, will not use it during that interaction, and will not allow any #genAI software to access information from it or disclose that information to any entity that would? Suppose the ToS for the site were to require that perfunctory DRM.
Would there be a way to exploit #DMCA1201 and/or the #CFAA to make it an offence (whether a crime, or a viable cause to sue) to bypass that DRM in order to interact with the website?
Maybe @lessig or #EbenMoglen (anyone know him?) could draft something, to do to AI, through inversion of intent of those laws, as #copyleft to #copyright?
@mgeist Would those laws correspond approximately to CMA §41 and to §342 of the Criminal Code?

The #freebsd experiment continues as I try to make a proper useful workstation out of it.
I've got video and sound and internet working. But while I work, I need some music.
Maybe I'll install the #spotify app? Nope.. not on BSD.
No problem, I"ll use the web based player.. Also NO apparently as you can't enable #drm in firefox in #bsd ?
Is this true or am I missing something? I'm trying to go pure BSD and not use Linux compatibility. But doesn't seem possible?

Bei #KI und weiteren #Cloud-Angeboten ist es so, dass die Abschaltung die gekaufte Leistung wertlos macht. Ob Sound-Bar, Staubsauger, alle diese Angebote zielen auf Vasallentum ab. 🔥
Natürlich geht es um die #Maut die man an die Wegelagerer bezahlen muss um sein Geschäft (weiter) zu betreiben.
Zentralisierung dient immer und ausschließlich der Beherrschung der Abnehmer. Das ist seit 2.000 Jahren und mehr so. Ob das Salz-Monopol, oder #Cloud, die Leibeigenen dienen dem Herrscher. Prunkvoll zeigt er dann wie wichtig er ist. 🤗
Ohne Regeln und Sicherheit gibt es weder bei #Cloud oder #KI eine "digitale Souveränität". Abgesehen von der #Überwachung sind auch die Kosten ein Problem, denn die zentralisierten Dienste sind bei einer #Vollkostenbetrachtung in 99 % der Fälle teurer als andere Lösungen.
Im Artikel ist gut aufgeführt wie man versucht hat die Kunden via #DRM zu gängeln:
"Fisker entwarf sein Fahrzeug jedoch als softwarebasiertes Kfz mit DRM (Digital Restriction Management), also als Auto, das regelmäßig Kontakt zur Unternehmenscloud aufnehmen muss."
Das ist das Ergebnis wenn Gier die Vernunft zersetzt. 😵💫
Wer glaubt nur eine #Cloud kann die Lösungen sein, dem empfehle ich sich mit einem Spezialisten auszutauschen auch um einen Totalschaden zu vermeiden. 🙂
