Stone Star — Islamic Geometric Floor Pattern in Monochrome

Eight dark granite tiles rotate around a pale marble centre, forming a star that has been repeated across floors, walls and ceilings for centuries. Found quietly underfoot, photographed from directly above in black and white. There's a name for this — pareidolia — the human brain's quirky habit of spotting faces in everyday objects. A door. A cloud. A piece of toast. We just can't help it. 🧠✨
