It may still be the first week in February but there’s a definite inkling of #spring in the air. The #Sun has made a welcome appearance after may days behind a curtain of #clouds and the #birds were chirping and squirrels were foraging as I #cycled to work and I didn’t feel the need to wear an inner hat underneath my helmet, nor a pair of thick gloves. Of course, in reality, the day’s still much too short to maintain the illusion just yet.

#cycled around Brampton and Caledon in #Ontario much of it hilly Escarpment.

Such a beautiful area, with rolling countryside. A short GO Train trip away from #Toronto to Mount Pleasant station.

This area, and many more like it around #Toronto like a ring, area going to get paved over and a whole circle of new subdivisions spring out. Low density, with crazy wide roads. The Greater Toronto Area won't recover, it'll be nonstop gridlock forever more.

A great little historic train museum.

It's sad how many train lines got pulled out of Southern Ontario, it could have been a whole different province, nicer with better transportation options.

Today was part of our push not to use motorized private transport and so we #cycled to and from the #RailwayStation and took a train to #Plymouth and back. The #theatre's walking distance from the station.

#gardening report: transplanted farm purchased flowers and set out around the house. Thinned the calendula, dill, and basil sprouts. #cycled instead of more work. Gotta put the chitting potatoes into garage to hold until after much wetter and cooler weather passes next week. Still have tomatoes, peppers, calendula, orchids outside, but orchids come in at night. #gyo #GrowFoodFromSeeds #CycleEverywhere
